Allium fistulosum
Also called Bunching Onion and Japanese leek.
Perennial allium that is both edible and attractive. Grows in a bunching habit and does not produce an onion bulb, rather it is used like a spring onion.
Tasty cooked like green onions or used fresh in salads, thinly sliced. Dies down in areas with colder winter temperatures, then comes back in the spring.
