For use in grafting, not a tree.
Cudrania tricuspidata or Maclura tricuspidata
Also called Melon Tree, Melonberry and Chinese Mulberry. Native to East Asia. A relative of the fig and mulberry.
Should be seedless as long as there are no male cultivars nearby. Hardy and disease free. Spreading growth habit. Grafts well onto Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera) rootstock and produces a tree approximately 20' tall.
Scion is approximately 6-10" in length and should be good for two grafts, depending on your method.
